"Battery life appears to be great and Illumination on the watch face is awesome Very disappointed with the heart rate measurement accuracy. Heart rate is not accurate, especially during rest. ECG measurement is worthless if you have afib. While experiencing afib, I was unable to get a reading. This was the primary reason I purchased a $900 sports watch. I made the comparisons with my KardiaMobile Afib medical device (extremely accurate). Additionally with a second generation Apple Watch that has proven also to be superior. If heart measurements are important as with me, I would have made another choice. Apple Ultra, given their 2 generation watch outperformed Epix Pro gen 2 for heart measurement."

"Fantastic watch, as expected from Garmin. Display quality is top notch, and the additional screen real estate is welcome on the 51mm. I also have an Epix Gen2 (47mm), but I really wanted the larger display and case/package along with the increased battery life. This is still a significant upgrade from the Epix Gen2 released in 2022. Battery life on the 51mm is incredible, and the heart rate and vital stats seem even more dialed in than before. Note - Being 6'4" 203lb, the watch works well on my wrist, so this is something to consider if you have a smaller frame."

From good to great
"Having the EPIX gen 2 was a great. However I always wished it was bigger (51mm) like FENIX 7X. Also the battery life with my use was about 14 day which was acceptable , though more would’ve been better. Now I have all these things and more with the EPIX PRO, long battery life, 51mm watch bezel and a bonus torch. A big thumbs up from me."
